A historic 18th Century inn with mineral springs, Pannanich Wells is a comfortable hotel with self-catering cottages. Serviced and self-catering accommodation.

Built circa 1760 as a hotel to provide accommodation for guests wishing to partake of the spring waters, Pannanich Wells is situated in a rural position on Pannanich Hill just over a mile from Ballater, overlooking the Dee Valley. Externally, Pannanich is a plain granite house freshened over the centuries. Internally Pannanich changes into a comfortable well-appointed hotel with 2 self-catering cottages on site and one larger cottage off site in the centre of Ballater. The hotel and cottages are totally non-smoking. All hotel rooms are en-suite with shower or bath and shower, and have all of the usual room accessories. The small cottages are equipped to a high standard, with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms and stunning views across the beautiful Dee Valley.

Two twin rooms / kingsize doubles Rooms 4, and 5 can either be twin or k/s doubles please let us know how you wish the room to be set.

The suites are annexed to the hotel have kingsize double beds with ensuite bathrooms and lounges

There is no better base for touring the North East corner of Scotland than the area of Royal Deeside . Centrally positioned, it is in easy reach many places of interest..
Ideal for walkers with many types of terrain from flat and easy to hilll walking and mountain climbing. Cycling is a pleasure on our virtually traffic free B roads. The area has 8 golf courses all within 5minutes -45 minutes drive.
Balmoral castle ( open April- July) is just 8 miles away as is the Royal Lochnagar Distillery.

By Road: Take the A93 from Perth or Aberdeen over Ballater Bridge. Turn left onto the B976. The hotel is approximately 1 mile from this point on the right
