The bar is open daily from 12:00 until 14:00 and 17:00 until 23:00.

Alston House is an ideal stopping point for those walking the Pennine Way or cycling the C2C cycleway, or Pennine Cycleway North. Both cycleways run past the front door.The Pennine Way, the 270 mile route, which from the South takes in the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales before reaching Alston Moor, is just two minutes walk from the door so stopping over won’t involve an unwanted detour from your route.
For those planning a less strenuous visit to the area there are riverside walks, waterfalls, cycling, horse riding, the highest narrow gauge railway in England, gift shops and potteries.
